For Wendy · Build on Campus · Mission College · Saturday, November 7

Your first Build on Campus should prove the model.

You're democratizing a technology the industry has kept elite — for plumbers, retired schoolteachers, small business owners, neighbors. A total mix of people. The day has to be cautious about AI and optimistic at the same time, and it has to work well enough that the next campus says yes. Three ways I can help.

Three ways to land November 7

Pick the option that fits.

All options plus travel at cost — SJC Friday evening in, Saturday night out.

Morning Keynote

The Cautious Optimist

$2,500
plus travel at cost

The voice you said you're looking for: serious about ethics, data, and who benefits — without leaving anyone feeling the technology isn't for them. AI goes in their hands before anyone talks about it, so the honest conversation lands on something they just felt.

  • A room talking to each other inside fifteen minutes
  • Ethics and safety built on what they just saw
  • A warm, skeptical crowd handed to your workshop leads
  • Prep call, slides by QR code, one-page handout

Nobody Left Behind

$4,000
plus travel at cost

The keynote, then I stay and facilitate the hands-on workshop — meal plans, side gigs, a plumber automating the shop. One voice from the welcome through the build, so the moment it gets real is exactly the moment the novices don't get lost. Your morning goes back to the partners and the college.

  • Everything in Option 1
  • Co-design of the hands-on workshop with your team
  • I facilitate the build, table to table, through lunch
  • Two prep calls and a shared run of show
Plus Playbook

The Road Show

$7,000
plus travel at cost

Mission is the pilot — you already know where it goes next: ELAC, LA, up and down the state. I carry November 7 end to end, host the partner lunch and demo day, then help you turn it into something that travels.

  • Everything in Option 2
  • Host for the partner lunch and demo day
  • Prep session with you and the Mission College team
  • Only here: a written playbook after the event, so the second Build on Campus starts from a proven run of show

Why this works for your audience

No one talks about AI without using it. Tools go in participants' hands first, so the caution lands on something they just felt instead of something they were told. That is the difference between a lecture and a community.

The fine print, in plain English.

Or, for the thorough among us: the weeds.

Fly into SJC Friday evening, return Saturday night. Airfare, one hotel night, and ground transportation billed at cost — no markup, receipts included.
A 50% deposit holds the date; the balance is due on the event day. This is a pilot rate for a first engagement.
Every option includes prep: one call for the Cautious Optimist, two calls plus a shared run of show for Nobody Left Behind, and a full prep session with you and the Mission College team for the Road Show.
Something real from their own life — a meal plan, a side gig, automating the plumbing business. The point is that AI caution and AI usefulness both land on their own screens, not on slides.
With Options 2 and 3, the room is handled — so your morning goes to the partners, the tech companies, and the college instead of managing the program minute by minute.
Option 3 ends with a written playbook built from what actually happened on November 7 — so ELAC, or any campus after Mission, starts from a proven run of show instead of a memory.
Bring it to the call — the next step is shaping the run of show together, and that's the right place for anything this page didn't answer.
